Purpose Statement: The purpose for Equipping “U” is (1) to help equip the church through teaching and discipling using a biblically based curriculum and (2) to provide practical training both for the members of Kirby Woods Baptist and as a ministering evangelical outreach to our community.

Choose from these four classes:
(1) Biblical Counseling - In these difficult and uncertain times people are looking for hope that there are answers to their hurts, difficulties, and challenges they face. This course lays a foundation for those who want to help people find those answers in the Bible. It provides principles and practices that are helpful in discipling, mentoring and counseling others to improve their relationships and Christian life. You will be challenged personally by studying God's Word so you can be clear, compassionate, Christ-centered, and practical as you help others. (2) The Way of the Master - Seek and witness to the lost the way Jesus did. Back to “KWBC by popular demand” this 8-session course will teach you to overcome your fears by using a proven, powerfully effective way to make the gospel make sense. You don't need to be an expert in apologetics. Using a captivating teaching style, this course will show you how to witness to anyone, anywhere. - Tim Sheehy in Room S213
(3) Studying and Teaching the Bible
The Definition Phase: Advantages of Biblical Teaching; You have to know what good teaching is before you can hope to do it.
The Exposition Phase: Resources for Investigating the Literary & Historical Aspects of Scripture.
The Organization Phase: What Are the Principles for Structuring a Lesson?
The Presentation Phase: How To Introduce and Conclude a Lesson. Taught by Dr. Tim Seal in Room W204
(4) Studies in Revelation - “Who is in the ‘The Throne Room of God?’” “What are their functions?” “Who are the Elders?” “Who are the 7 Stars?” “What made Jesus qualified to take the scroll from the Father?” Come study with us the Book of Revelation to discover these answers and many more.
