College. Career. Companion. Christ.
Where will I go to college?
Where will I work?
Who will I marry?
Will I follow Jesus?
|
The desire of Kirby Woods Baptist Church is that young people will answer these questions and others the right way...God's Way.
With that in mind, the College & Career ministry is centered on the Word of God. Every event that is held, every trip that is taken and every lesson that is taught is done so in accordance to God's Word. For it is our firm belief that God's Word is living and active. In other words, it is real and relevant and it speaks to every area of our life.
Chasing after Christ.
Caring for each other.
Carrying the gospel first to our campuses, careers, and communities; and then across the world. |

Refuge
In the fear of the Lord there is strong confidence and His children will have a place of refuge. Proverbs 14:26
Sundays at 8:15 & 11:00 a.m.
Some people call it Sunday School. Some people call it small groups. We call it Refuge. Not to be different, but deliberate. Every time we place ourselves under the canopy of God's Word we gain strength. Refuge seeks to show young men and women how God's Word is alive and active and able to guide them through the ups and downs of life... ultimately pointing them to Jesus!
Refuge Too.
And there was great joy in that city. Acts 8:8
Wednesday nights at 8:00 p.m.
Our hope is that one day, what was said of Samaria may be said of Memphis, TN. And every Wednesday we gather together to stir one another up to love and good works so that Christ might be made famous among us and among the nations. Our prayer is that Refuge Too is where the Word is heard and hearts are stirred.

Refresh
There is...a time to laugh! Ecclesiastes 3:1, 4
The chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. And at a time in the life where most find pleasure in what God hates, Refresh serves to provide an alternative way to have fun. Stay plugged in to what is going on by joining the Kirby Woods College Ministry Facebook Group.
Refocus
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations... Matthew 28:18
The Great Commission is about carrying Christ to the nations. But too often in the busyness of everyday life, the G.C. becomes the G.O. (Great Omission) and we fail to share Christ with anyone. Refocus is what we do when we engage our city in our church-wide outreach program, Lighthouse; and our world through year-round missions.
Refuel
Where there is no wood the fire goes out... Proverbs 26:20
Refuel is our annual retreat where we get away from the busyness of life and spend time with each other and God's Word. Previous destinations have included Gatlinburg, Passion in Atlanta, and Destin. Refuel also serves as a great way to get plugged in with the group.
